Subungal hematoma: Abrise under the nail is called subungal hematoma and can be very painful as there is collection of blood under the nail and there is no outlet.Nail looks black and blue.If there is not much pain than the blood will eventually get absorped in your body by itself and needs no treatment but if there is intense pain than a hole is drilled through the nail to relieve the pressure.
