Finger: As long as you can bend your finger fully and aren't experiencing severe pain, it's probably just a bruise. These can sometimes take a long time to heal when they're around the nail area. If it persists for longer than a few days, or if the pain worsens over the next few days, it should be examined by a doctor.

Blood under the: Nail plate can look like a small dark spot/area. Usually itis just a bruise or a small tiny laceration to the strucutres under the nail, on occasion it can occur with a fracture, but a severe fracture usally has deformity or the nail is cracked or lifted off or the area of darkness is larger. If there is no trauma then that is different and needs eval. Do not try ot drain or evacuate the spot.
