Paresthesias: When patients relate to having "electricity" or "sharp, shooting pains" that typically is associated with a nerve injury. If it is in the foot it may be coming from a nerve higher up in the body... such as in the low back, which is called radiculopathy. Have an exam performed for the best diagnosis and treatment plan.
