Choking?: Your newborn needs to checked by the PCP ASAP to determine if further investigation by the ENT is required. In the meantime start reflux precautions in case esophageal reflux is the cause, make sure milk flow is not very fast, position baby properly during and after feeds, burp very well. Let PCP know, if any difficulty breathing / effort intolerance during feeds. healthtap.com/florence-nnebe

Mgt: There are many possible causes. The baby should be evaluated including an exam during a feeding. Sometime there can be swallowing difficulties, lack of coordination, reflux among the possible causes. The mouth and palate can be examined. A recording of the cough, the baby's medical records and a virtual consult may be arranged.
