Depend....: There is no set of rule to avoid sex after appendectomy and it has to depend on the extent of disease/infection/inflammation + the magnitude of surgery + personal coping ability. So, for "simple" uneventful appendectomy, one may start sex in 3-5 days if bearable for pain; for higher degree of disease/surgery, one may have to refrain from sex for 2-6 weeks. Hence, ask doctor for individual need.
