When i take vicodin or percocet my tongue and throat swell but i can take morphine 4 tylenol (acetaminophen) 3 without any side effects why is this and what if anythi?

You may have: allergy to hydrocodone and/or oxycodone, but not morphine and/or codeine (Tylenol #3). It's unlikely you have allergic reaction against acetaminophen given it's an ingredient in Tylenol #3 which you say you had no problem with. I would stay away from hydrocodone and oxycodone in the future to avoid getting dangerous anaphylactic reactions.
