Mu doctor had me on 8 norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) 10/325 a day but switched me to percocet 5/325 30 mg daily. the doctor said percocet was stronger but im in bad pain?

About the same : Opioids are all compared to the "gold standard"; which is 10mg intramuscular (IM) morphine. 2 Vicodin is equivalent to 1mg morphing IM. 2 Percocet equals 3mg, so it's stronger. HOWEVER, the best choice is always what works best for the patient. There is no real difference in dependence risk. Don't take more than prescribed, there is Tylenol (acetaminophen) in both and too much can seriously harm your liver,
