A member asked:

Why do i get red chest and arms after a drink or 2? no other reaction and my blood work including liver count was fine a couple months ago. flushing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dilated blood vessel: When you drink alcohol, the small capillary blood vessels in the skin dilate (enlarge) a little. This causes you to feel flushed and makes the skin look redder. It is a very common phenomenon. Often, people who drink a lot over many years end up with their noses looking red all the time, and they have permanently visible capillaries on their nose and cheeks.
