Hi dr, i had a sever pain on my upper arm when i lift my arm or just move it around, i took a couple of tylenols (acetaminophen) and the pain got reduced but i still feel is there with some movements. what else can it take ? thanks - oscar

Rotator cuff syn: if the the pain omly comes on with active motion of your arm then it only happens with engaging the muscles. The most salient group of muscles belong to the rotator cuff . Indications of this would be the arm waking u up when u roll on it, pain with reaching up to take something off a shelf decreased strength with lifting up above shoulder as well as any prior history of shoulder pain
