Spinal stenosis can cause leg pain on walking and usually affects older people. An MRI of the lumbosacral spine is required to differentiate the conditions and a neurosurgeon is best qualified to evaluate and advise you..

Discogenic pain: hello ~ it means pain emanating from the intervertebral discs in the spinal column. I have seen this described by radiologists when no other explanation for the backache is found on Xray, MRI. its flattening of discs. A diagnosis that questions the rationality of doctor and patient. If you have on-going backache, please ask to see a qualified (Board Cert) back doc thanks
