Some 2-10 days...: Exposure to STD does not mean contracting it; contracting it does not mean developing its symptoms. This fact reflects personal integrity of 2 lines of protection, i.e., external natural barrier-skin & mucosa and internal humoral immune defense. The usually timing for genital herpes to manifest is about 2-10 days after exposure.
