I have had gastritis for the last 2.5 months. i have been diagnosed with slight im. i am taking 300 - 600 mg of zantac (ranitidine) daily. what could be going on?

Gastritis x 2.5 m: ( Not sure what IM is) Were you checked for h pylori ? A bacteria that is associated with gastritis. If positive will need antibiotics and a PPI like prevecid as well . Sometimes in severe gastritis-check gastrin level/ZE - without H pylori -individuals need a PPI as well as an H2 blocker(zantac). Some may even add sucralfate.Avoid alcohol energy drinks ,caffeine ,smoking,spicy, Ddiscuss w/ d
