Gastroenterologist: This is not normal and I recommend that you consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment. Gastritis is treated by a bland diet, AVoidance of alcohol, caffeine and nicotine. If zantac, mylanta are no longer effective the next step is the taking of medications like prilosec or nexium, (esomeprazole) but your obstetrician would have to sanction its use.
