Why did my doctor say amoxicillin doesn't really work that good to help sinus infection?

Well: Amoxil (amoxicillin) is effective for most sinus infections and in healthy people it is not very effective for people who've been on recently anabiotic's or have chronic recurrent sinus infections. Bacteria develop resistance to antibiotics and they become less effective
