Answer: 5-10% of the population have early repolarization (ER) on EKG, the vast majority of whom never have symptoms. However, there have been shown to be certain patterns on the EKG that predict higher risk for VT and VF. And other predictors for VT and VF need to be checked for. Would see a cardiologist and obtain copy of EKG from medical records of the facility prior to appointment.
