is it true multi vits can make you gain weight? ive heard that before and wondered if i should stop taking them since im gaining and if they do why?

Vitamins: Multivitamins do not in of themselves cause weight gain unless they increase your appetite and calorie intake significantly. However I consider this an unlikely set of circumstances from both my own experience and my experience with multitudes of patients who take multivitamins.

This is NG: Eat foods that are nutrient dense (like meat, fish, poultry, eggs, cheese, low starch vegatables and water) avoid foods that are not nutrient dense (like starches and sugars, including fruit) nutrient dense foods will increase your basal metabolic rate. On the other hand, starches and sugars impair thyroid metabolism via affects on your liver (which helps activate thyroid hormone).

How come there are so many new drugs but we cannot find the cure for cancer?

Cancer is not: One disease, or one genetic chnge, but many. Drugs are poisons with side effects, and tumors are smart enought to learn to resist. Single genetic mutations are cured with miracle drugs. Many drugs now hope to keep cancers at bay and allow you to live with the cancer rather than obliterating it. The most fearsome of cancers is glioblastoma (brain tumors) and pancreas cancer. Few baby steps only.

First and foremost: Please believe me, there are no shortcuts. Consult with your doctor, have an examination and make sure you are healthy enough to exercise. Concentrate on one goal at a time. First- breakfast every day, no excuses. Next, a bit of walking every day, even if it's just 5-10 mins. Increase every week or two by 5-10 mins. Then, cut down on the bedtime goodies, especially sweets and carbs. On your way!

Why are so many against obama's healthcare plan? Healthcare for all should be a basic human right, not just if you have $, so why the opposition?

Many concerns: It's hard to answer succinctly but some common concerns include both that the affordable care act didn't go far enough (for example, didn't provide universal health coverage0 and that it went too far (required everyone to obtain health coverage). There's also a lot of disagreement about how some of the changes will be paid for and whether the cost of healthcare will increase or decrease.

Actually, rights are inherently based on preventing actions of others (e.g. I have the right to be free of harm by another). Rights cannot be conferred to force others to do things (e.g. take money from people using the police force of the state). Healthcare is a service, not a right. This is a simple philosophical principle.
