Pms alternative : Hi - recall that pms occurs monthly with the change in your hormones. While stopping fluoxetine altogether may slow down or stop you weight gain. Your previous symptoms of pms might return. You should talk to your physician before stopping your medication of course. Sometimes they recommend taking fluoxetine during the week prior to your period . For some women this seems to help.

Lower & fewer doses?: Ask your doctor to check into some research: t. Lovick, a neuroscientist at the univ of birmingham (uk), has hopes that a 2 mg daily dose of fluoxetine in only the final week before menstruation could alleviate pms. It may be a way to avoid the side effects & get relief. Win-win.
