See answer: The pain is epigastric, dull, radiating to the back, diminished by sitting forward, worse approximately 30 minutes after eating. The attacks usually last less than 10 days with pain free intervals lasting months to more than a year. Later on the pain can become more continuous.(20% of patients don't experience pain), and symptoms of malabsorption such as greasy or loose stools can develop.
