Trreat illness: Always try to treat the illness, then the pain will abate naturally. Talk to your doctor about diet, alcohol, etc.

Pancreatitis pain: If you have chronic pancreatitis and pain not responding to strong pain medication, i highly recommend you to be evaluated in the er.
