Started yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) before my period started and i started having normal heavy periods 2 days before placebo tablets. what's up with that?

Starting BC Pills...: can lead to some cycle timing irregularity in many patients. I advise my patients that cycles typically normalize after the first 3 packs. It is critical that you remember to take your pill every day, as skipping pills can lead to a more irregular bleeding not to mention pregnancy. So keep taking them and track your cycles. See your GYN if cycles are missed, heavy or overly painful on BC
