1-Lifestyle, 2-Meds: Lifestyle changes can be a powerful way to treat depression. Research shows that regular exercising (vigorously if your doctor approves) helps. See Below: Psychotherapy, medication (if there's need), self-care routine --establishing a time to do things that you like/enjoy; relaxation, learning what triggers your symptoms; creating "crisis card" things to do when depression worsens; stress management; sleep hygiene. Psychotherapy will help guide you through the process, while medication will help in stabilizing mood.
