Transmitting HSV1: I just answered your other question. This gives more information. Most likely he won't get infected after a single exposure. As in my other reply, he is not at risk if he has had HSV1 himself. Main thing now is for him to be on the lookout for early symptoms so he can be examined and treated promptly if they show up.
