Just had upper endoscopy & having nausea and diarrhea. can i take phenergan (promethazine) and imodium at same time. dx was infection in esophagus.

Interaction: You may notice some sedation effect with that combination, but if you're having nausea and diarrhea you could take only the recommended doses and rest at home. For nausea relief, drinking room temperature flat ginger ale may be helpful. Of course antibiotics themselves may cause nausea and diarrhea. Your gastroenterologist can advise you best.
