No: Rabies can not be transmitted from a nail scratch. The saliva from the infected animal must come in contact with broken skin/a bite wound or a mucous membrane, such as the mouth or eyes. So you don't need the post-exposure injections. But if because of your geographic location or activities you are at risk of contracting rabies in the future, you should strongly consider the preventive vaccine.
