I assume that the: doctors also put you on other medications to improve your heart function. If the cardiomyopathy was newly diagnosed and medications were just started now for the first time then there is a 90 day restriction by the government regarding additional intervention. IF EF does not improve after 90 days you will need an ICD implanted. Four month followup is about right. Be compliant with your RX!!

Absolutely not : Please see a cardiologist in an academic center for full consultation and evaluation. The cause of your low Ef has to be elucidated and treated aggressively.... Is it cad or because of regurgitation or a combination of the two? Your mitral regurgitation may be secondary to ischemia.... Or a separate problem. Need more details and u should be seen ASAP.
