The doctor probably: meant that the conduction and depolarization and repolarization was normal without evidence for infarction, ischemia or hypertrophy. He/She probably didn't really think of the rate as being anything concerning and that is why he/she said it was normal. Actually he/she should probably have said "Sinus tachycardia otherwise normal."
