Ask a sonographer: A first trimester pregnancy sonogram performed by a skilled and certified sonographer is a very reliable and accurate way to "date" a pregnancy, determine the probable time of fertilization and estimate your due date. If you are indeed "12 weeks and 4 days" based on normal reliable last menstrual periods (LNMP) or by sonographic exam, you probably ovulated and were "fertilized" on or about Feb. 5
