Viral syndrome: You are describing what often ends up being an upper respiratory infection (URI) caused by a virus. There are other possibilities though, and even a viral URI can turn into a problem needing treatment such as bacterial sinusitis or even pneumonia. If the fever comes back, or if you aren't getting better after a week, do see your doctor!
