Mylanta and Coreg (carvedilol): 67 year old lady with question about how to take her Coreg with Mylanta. This is an excellent question. Mylanta is calcium carbonate, when ingested simultaneously with carvedilol, it will block the absorption of carvedilol and lower levels. Therefore, take the Mylanta 2 full hours before taking your Coreg. Consult your pharmacist for all drug interactions. Good luck.
