A member asked:

Salmonella bacteria growing on wound that is on the face, what does that mean?

Are you sure?: This is highly unusual. Staph or Strep would have been my first guesses there. Salmonella is actually a germ found in the guts of animals -especially reptiles like snakes and lizards. I'm not sure if you might have had any kind of exposure to those animals which could have caused this particular bacterium to show up? Birds are related to lizards (dinosaurs!) BTW so maybe you have a pet bird?
