What does ct scan results mean? large amount of colonic stool confirm moderate amount of free peritoneal air as well as air in the anterior wall and the retro peritoneum. the study was with iv contrast only.

Prob not good.: The large amount of stool in the colon is not necessarily abnormal BUT, air in the abdomen means the bowel has had a leakage OR it is post surgery. cannot say in your particular case, but generally, if there isnt surgery, a burst bowel is often fatal.
