A member asked:

What kind of pain is morphine used for, what is 100mg/5 ml dosage level, and can it be addictive or effectiveness decrease over time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Talk to your doctor: or pharmacist. Morphine is used for moderately severe or severe pain. Am not sure if the preparation you have is for oral use, but initial doses of morphine should be no more than 15 mg if in a preparation that is meant for oral ingestion, and even less in preparations meant for injection. Your doctor/pharmacist should be explaining this to you. If not prescribed, DON'T TAKE IT.
