My husband is on a pain reg & 0 works. fentanyl, oxycontin, vic, perc, morphine, dilaudid.. by chance at an er doc gave him 1mg of ativan & he said he finally wasnt in pain! his pain doc refuses to give him ativan says due to addiction? help?

There is a risk of addiction but the risk much lower than that for opiates. It may be prudent to see a different doctor for a second opinion.
