I was running and experienced chest pain that worsened as i inhaled. i've recently had an echocardiogram and an ekg which revealed no abnormalities.

Stress test.: If we're still considering the possibility of heart pathology, then the next prudent test would be a stress test. I prefer stress echo because of its negative predictive value and its ability to show what the heart is actually doing during peak exercise. Should that be normal, you may want to consider testing for the lungs.
