See GYN: Ibuprofen is quite often effective in controlling the pain but if it persists you may need an ultrasound to see if you have fibroids or other conditions. Based on the ultrasound results, your GYN can determine what the next step in treatment would be for your care. Often, OCPs are used to control the pain. Best wishes
