More info: Coughing up bloody sputum is often cause for concern, but the most common cause is simply bronchitis. If you're having other symptoms, or the blood persists or worsens, I'd revisit your doctor. At a minimum, I would discuss this with the person who prescribed your antibiotics, as they're the only one with your complete clinical picture.
