Here are some...: Refer this test result to prior serial ones so to see how it has evolved and changed. If a down-trend is established, he has slow chronic renal functional impairment, which will expectedly worsen over time, but could be slowed down by avoiding further kidney damage by poor diabetic control or drug use like NSAIDs or certain antibiotics. More? Ask nephrologists.
