What tests can cousin do to know if his serum cretanine that came 1.4 is due to renal insufficiency caused by diabetes.takes meds for last 15 yrs.

Blood test: There is no single test that can show that, but a combination of blood and urine tests and maybe a radiological exam, if needed, of the kidneys can show this. The most likely reason is combination of diabetes and hypertension if he has this.
