Heartburn, sore thro: Seems like being treated for reflux/GERD which is common and an infection smz/tmp covers strep /staph and a number of other agents. Reflux is not normally life threatening and is very common. Would also discuss if the reflux could be related to H pylori and get treated for that if so.elevate head of bed when asleep Avoid alcohol, smoking ,energy drinks ( which do cause problems) f/u/ w/ doc
