How do you deal with a panic attack?

Relax: "relax" is a bit of humor, because when you are having a panic attack that is impossible. The "purpose" of a panic attack is to distract you from an emotion or memory that is very frightening. The best you can do at the moment is to treat the symptoms - breathe into a paper bag to treat hyperventilation, sit down if you are dizzy... It will pass. You need to find what is underlying- therapy.

Meditation: Find a quiet place where you can be undisturbed for 5-20 minutes. Close your eyes and take slow deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. "hyper-focus" on listening to the sounds of your breaths, visualizing the air molecules entering and leaving your lungs. Practice this daily (or more frequently if necessary) for improving mental clarity and decreasing stress.
