Vestibular Neuonitis: Symptoms of vestibular neuronitis include vertigo, nystagmus, and imbalance. It is typically a self limiting disorder, and over time, patient report gradual improvement. Improvement times can be variable from weeks to months. Symptom improvement can be hastened with vestibular physical therapy. If symptoms do not resolve completely, then balance function testing would be advised.

Comments: Most cases of vestibular neuronitis (labyrinthitis) of viral origin should be fully resolved over 4-6 weeks. Further persistence of symptoms raises question of a different diagnosis. Maybe you need to have an otolaryngological visit if not better soon.
