A member asked:

My best friend just noticed a painful lump on the lower left abdominal. he had this before but it went away after few hours. no fever or vomiting?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If the mass is : Easily reducible when you press in, or come out more readily when you "bear" down, and it either hurts or pulls when you touch it, then it is likely a hernia of some sort. Otherwise it could be a skin benign tumor or lymph node. Pls see a healthcare provider for proper examination and diagnosis.
