Wrist veins: Wrist veins are normally visible and may be quite prominent, but those normal veins collapse when you raise your arm above your heart level. Numbness of just a fingertip is usually due to a disturbance of a superficial nerve in the finger from some kind of impingement possibly from a ring. However if numbness spreads to other parts of the hand, get checked for impingement elsewhere like the wrist
