Safe: Bleach or hair coloring does not cause melanoma. When you are on your horse or on your yacht, or when you go to a clothing-optional beach, wear a HAT. How dark or how pale is your skin?

Moles and Melanoma: Moles should be checked periodically for changes. Moles greater than 1 cm in diameter have a slightly higher risk of cancer, and are often removed to be certain they are ok. Chronic skin irritation is associated with cancer, but occasional bleaching is not. Sun exposure is, so hats and sunscreen are helpful.
