Numerous: Weight loss, surgery (30-50% effective), breathing machine such as CPAP (after 1 year, 30-50% are still using) and oral appliances (75-95% still use after one year). The american academy of sleep medicine seven years ago said that for mild-moderate sleep apnea or those with severe sleep apnea who can't or won't use a cpap, an oral appliance can be the first line of treatment. You need trained dds.
