Sleep apnea: Sleep apnea can cause heart disease. Have your brother see a sleep apnea specialist for treatment.

Extremely serious: Sleep apnea can set up an avalanche of other problems and stresses. It is treated with a CPAP machine or with jaw positioning oral appliances. See your dentist or physician to get more info!

Sleep apnea: Depends on the severity -mild, moderate, or severe. In general, this can have serious health consequences including high blood pressure, enlargement of the heart, irregular heartbeat, and stroke among other problems. It's good that he has been diagnosed. Treatment options include a variety of surgeries in addition to CPAP or oral appliances.

Needs to be treated: Sleep apnea can be treated, and can lead to some negative health consequences if left untreated. Generally treated with CPAP or BiPAP mask worn at night and cured with weight loss if overweight.
