Are there any medications (non-surgical) to treat sleep apnea?

Yes: 1. Lose weight 2. CPAP machine 3. Dental appliance (moves the tongue down and out of the way) no medications will work, unless nasal congestion is playing a big role.

Sleep apnea: If there is a medication to reduce your weight, then it is the medication. Recent study showed combination of topamax (topiramate) and Phentermine actually worked. Also there has been research that sudafed, high dose (watch for side effects) also worked. Unfortunately we do not live in perfect world. Least side effects, most efficient way treating sleep apnea is cpap.
