URT infection: If it's viral, it has to run it's course. bacterial URT infection is treated with antibiotics. best for you to see your primary care doc or a pulmonologist if it does not resolve in a week.

URI. : The vast majority of upper respiratory infections are viral in origin, and therefore need to simply run their course. This would usually occur over a 3 to 5 day period.
