Varicocele: An exam by a urologist can diagnose this condition as well by Doppler ultrasound of the scrotum. Traditional treatment is surgical, and lately, embolization and/or coiling via percutanoues vein access through the groin.

Like bag of worms: Varicoceles can not be felt when UR lying down, but feel like "bag of worms" when UR standing up. Almost always on left side & usually painless. If large, can sometimes make scrotum feel heavy. Advise consult urologist if left testicle smaller than right. Best management, if necessary, is laparoscopic spermatic vein clipping & 98% successful. Embolisation is far less reliable
