Drug interactions: Sucralfate can indeed affect / reduce the extent of absorption (bioavailability) of certain medications (full list at WebMD) . Cipro (ciprofloxacin) (Fluoroquinolone antibiotic) can be affected by the sucralfate. By taking both medications at different times, such as taking Cipro (ciprofloxacin) 2 hrs before sucralfate, one may be able to eliminate the negative interaction.
